Jesse Hernandez began his formal music studies at the age of seven at the Professional School of Music in Guantánamo, Cuba, specializing in piano. He completed his foundational studies in a rigorous and demanding environment under the guidance of experienced music educators, developing a strong foundation in piano technique and musicianship.

At age 15, he began five years of advanced-level professional music studies at Guantanamo Professional Conservatory of Music completing his training and graduating in 2005 at the age of 20.

Following graduation, Jesse taught piano at the Professional School of Music where he had received his initial training. Over the course of five years, he taught approximately 200 students between the ages of 6 and 15, gaining extensive experience in piano instruction and working with children at different stages of musical development.

He subsequently pursued a career as a solo pianist and musician, performing with contemporary Christian music groups. In 2021, he moved to the United States and has remained actively involved in music and music education. He worked for approximately one year at CanZion Institute, a Christian music education institution, and currently serves as part of the teaching faculty at Houston Piano Company.
