Keith Yost
With over thirty years in education, Dr. Yost is passionate about making a difference in the lives of his students. Certified in K-12 music by the state of Texas, Dr. Yost has served as an assistant choir director in public education, accompanist for UIL events, and director and musician in a variety of church music roles. With a master’s degree in secondary education and a doctorate in educational leadership, Dr. Yost has also served in a variety of administrative roles for several Houston area school districts and has taught hundreds of piano students over the course of his career. Most importantly, he believes that music feeds the soul and taking piano lessons should be fun and joyful.
Johnny Salvesen
Johnny Salvesen recently graduated with a master’s degree in Music Theory from the University of Houston. He currently serves as the director of music at New Life Lutheran Church in Pearland and sings with opera companies such as Opera in the Heights, Operativo Houston, and Houston Grand Opera. His favorite artists are Glenn Gould, Daniel Barenboim, and Elton John.

Jorge Martinez
Jorge Martinez is a current student at the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston studying Music Education with an emphasis on Voice and Choral Conducting. Jorge has been with the Houston Piano Company for 2 years now and is excited to continue developing aspiring Piano performers. As well as teaching, he has performed and competed in venues all around Texas as well as Washington DC and Bergen, Norway. Upon graduation, Jorge aspires to become a High School Choral Director before returning to school to receive a Masters in Performance.

Meghan Krish
Meghan Krish is a mezzo-soprano with her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance under the instruction of Melanie Sonnenberg at the University of Houston’s Moore’s school of music. She is also a member of the world-renowned choral ensemble concert chorale under the direction of Betsy Cook Weber.
She has appeared in Moore’s opera center production of Offenbach’s Orpheus in the underworld and Menotti’s Amelia al Ballo. She recently performed as a trio member in Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti, and as Mrs. Herring in Benjamin Britten’s Albert Herring. She participated in the Texas Music Festival’s institute of voice studies and coached with Richard Bado and Nova Thomas.
As a teacher, Meghan primarily focuses on studying classical voice but also teaches piano from beginner to intermediate levels. She studied piano throughout the majority of her youth and wishes to share that knowledge with young musicians. In addition to teaching and performing, she works as a staff singer at Friendswood United Methodist. Meghan’s favorite aspect of music education is finding ways to show students how to use their talents and build confidence in their musicianship. At Houston piano company she hopes to teach students how useful and fun music can be!”
Houston Piano Company seeks out-going and enthusiastic piano instructors to teach students within our group lessons core curriculum; both part-time and full-time positions available for class hours between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Mon-Sat.
